I thought of this a couple nights ago and asked my husband what he thought. He said it would be a perfect addition to my usual melancholy posts. Me, melancholy? I hate it when he's right.
OMG! LOL. Now I don't feel bad when I make fun of my kids. Not in a mean way of course. ;-) We love them, don't we? Plus, we ARE the factory, so I think we do have a certain right to jab fun at them. I need to give it some thoughts in terms of what "celebrities" my kids look like. Love your new website. So you are on Wordpress now? Yeah!
Well, you know and I know that we love our kids and think they are absolutely perfect in every way. BUT, it can be rewarding to poke fun at them every once in a while.
I have a picture of my husband when he was a kid that looks just like the . . . problem child from the movie "Problem Child." I also have two children who closely resemble Ron Howard from the Andy Griffith Show years (Opie) and another one that looks so much like Macaulay Culkin a la "Home Alone" that strangers stop me to say it.
But yours? That is just priceless. And sooooo blackmail-worthy.
Gonzo looks like Opie for real. My hippie child looks like a Jane Austen heroine. Miss Piggy looks like.....Miss Piggy. And Animal looks like Sweet Pea from Popeye cartoons.
Hiliarious, Amber! He looks very happy - happier than Jabba the Hut! I'd have to think of famous person lookalikes for my kids. Need to watch more Disney to figure it out...
You are Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteAnd Manly is a cutie.
HAHAHAHAHAHA...Manly is going to get you one day for that!!!!!!!!! You are too funny!
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDelete* DIES * That is great!!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who my kids resemble, other than a mix of family members on both sides. But this is hysterical!
ReplyDeletePoor sweet Manly! Whenever I see Jabba the Hut, I think of Pizza the Hut (from Spaceballs) and get hungry. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteThat is very disturbing Amber! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! MIne is Damien of The Omen. (http://little-but-loud.blogspot.com/2007/09/omen.html)
ReplyDeleteOnly because it's true, Dad. : )
ReplyDeleteWell..I get hungry when I see Manly because he is so cute that I just want to eat him up!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!! I looked at that post and DIED of laughter!!! Our poor children.
ReplyDeleteYes, he is a cutie. He is also chunky. Oh, I love my little guy.
ReplyDeleteI know he will. I just wanted to get a head start. : )

ReplyDeleteI have come to realize that Wordpress rocks!!
My husband calls #1son "Short Round" from Indiana Jones and #2son young Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars.
ReplyDeleteHilarious! Tiny Baby reminds me of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters, especially when he's angry.

I am dying.

YAY! Nothing beats a dad who reads his girl's blog.
ReplyDeleteHysterical! I love a mom who can see ALL the sides of her baby! Love you for this. He's precious (Manly of course).
ReplyDeleteAs long as he doesn't make you wear strangely sexy bikinis, it's all good.
ReplyDeleteMy children all look like carbon copies of each other. At least I never get the "are they from the same father" question.
They're both adorable!

ReplyDeleteBwahahahah! Isn't it awesome how baby's can pull off the roly-poly look so well but adults with similar numbers of chins can't? Love it!
ReplyDeleteI giggling my rear end off over here! That is hilarious! I love his smile.
ReplyDeleteThat is SO cute and funny. And a teeny bit cruel. Hee hee.
ReplyDeleteLove this. hehehe.
ReplyDeleteJust keeping it real, yo!
ReplyDelete: )
Picturing that makes me giggle!
ReplyDeleteSo, I looked up all those characters and can now picture your little flock a little bit better. HeHe
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to show this post to Manly's future girlfriend(s). Muwhahahah!!!
I love your children just because the characters they resemble.
ReplyDeleteWould it be rude to say my husband made me do this?? Probably. Especially since it would be a BIG FAT LIE!!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Just because he is chubby doesn't make him any less cute. And, this post? I couldn't help myself.
ReplyDeleteSince you have teens, you might want to go with Teen shows. Or, better yet, stick with Disney. They need a little embarrassment every now and then.
ReplyDeleteIf Manly made me wear strangely sexy bikinis, I might have his noggin checked.
ReplyDeleteI know. If people called my double chins cute, I would probably sock them. At least mentally.
ReplyDeleteIs giggling included in SMAM???? If it isn't, it should be!
