Today is the Funeral

Today I am going to a funeral. My cousin's baby was stillborn. My heart is breaking for her loss.

If you would, please remember my cousin and her family in your thoughts and prayers. She is hurting.

  1. I am so sorry to hear this news, Amber. You are all in my thoughts.

  2. I'm so sorry for this terrible loss. Definitely praying for them.

  3. I am so sorry, I will remember her is my prayers.

  4. Please know that many of us are thinking of you, and your cousin.

  5. I am so sorry.

I was in your shoes not long ago. I found a poem and posted it for my cousin:

I didn't know what to say either. I still don't.

I am so sorry that your family is going through this.

  6. oh no. I'm so sorry Amber and am thinking of you all.

  7. Oh Amber, you poor cousin...and I feel for you too. My Aunt lost her three month old baby five years ago and the grief was so intense I was speechless and I felt so helpless in the face of what she and my Uncle were suffering.

I wish peace for your cousin. And that she may be surrounded by people who don't struggle so hard to find the right words to "fix things" that they end up saying horrible things unintentionally. The death of a child is not something we ever fully recover from, no matter what stage of development they are at. I still have a pang when I think of a pregnancy of mine that ended at a mere 6 weeks. We are mothers and our hearts are big and oh so vulnerable because of it.

I'll be praying for you and your family. ~hugs~

  8. Oh. Oh. Oh.

There really aren't words for this, are there?

  9. Oh Sweetie- I am so sorry - what a difficult day that must have been for everyone. Sending hugs.
