The Meaning of "Momma"

The other day, during a very low time, the Queen taught me something special. The meaning of "Momma." I was in the middle of making lunch for her, and she was very upset.
She has had some rough days herself. Stomach ailments, teething, and an end-of-the-summer cold have upset her body.
Back to the kitchen.
She was whining and walking around. I was holding something and she looked up at me and said "momma."
At that moment I realized this is my daughter. I carried her for 9 months in my belly, and forever on my hip. I nursed her, stayed up comforting her, and learned how to care unselfishly.
Her tone of voice and the look in her eyes told me that she knew I could take care of her. I am her mommy. I could give her what she needs.
I picked her up and held her tight. She is my flesh. She is the miracle of life.
Just that little moment helped me get through the day. It reminded me of my responsibility in this life: to nurture my children (Proclamation par. 7).
I cannot adequately express my gratitude in being a mother. I just feel it.
